Exhale sound is not laughter in salah

Question

What counts as laughing out loud in salah? Is it only the haha sound and giggling or is it any sound of amusement - a funny thought came to mind whilst I was reciting Fatiha and I wanted to make a sound of amusement (which to me is an exhale with force and sound) but I stopped myself from making that particular sound but I couldnโ€™t stop myself from exhaling - this sounding like a ghain like gha (which was the next part of the Fatiha I was supposed to recite). To someone outside they wouldnโ€™t have known I laughed or made a sound of amusement - to them it would sound like I stumbled on my recitation but I know that โ€œstumbleโ€ was me trying not to make a sound of amusement - in this sense is that sound considered a laugh even though it doesnโ€™t sound like a typical or my usual laugh? Was my prayer invalid? Do I need to redo wudu and my prayer? I read on and didnโ€™t renew my wudu because I thought it didnโ€™t sound like a laugh and to others It didnโ€™t sound like a laugh. But please let me know per hanafi fiqh if I need to redo that prayer, also if you can give the reasons for your answer. Thank you.

Islamic Ruling & Answer

According to Hanafi fiqh, the sound you made is not considered laughter, because it was just like an exhale or a letter sound, not clear laughter or loud laughing. So your prayer is valid, your wudu is still intact, and you do not need to repeat the prayer. The basic rule is unless there is clear laughter such that you yourself or someone nearby can hear it the prayer does not break.
