Ruling on Saying “Ramadan Mubarak” and Similar Greetings in Islam

What is the rulling of wishing Ramadan Mubarak, Chand Mubarak, and Sheri Mubarak it's usually common in our Indian Sub continent. What is the ruling of Islam on this is it sinful?

VerifiedThe meaning of Mubarak is “blessed” or “full of blessing.” By saying this sentence, the person is making a dua that blessing be placed in the other person’s action. Therefore, it is permissible when the intention is dua. However, saying “Sehri Mubarak” or “Roza Mubarak” is not reported from the Sahabah (Companions), so one should avoid saying it as a custom or making it a regular habit.
