Question
I was born a Hindu. I am seeking enlightenment. I just want to ask why all religions are so human-centric. Like humans should do this and this. Why shouldn't a centipede do like this and this? They are also created by god. They should also have the equal right to God
Islamic Ruling & Answer
VerifiedAllah has created differences among His creation with wisdom and purpose. Human beings were given intellect, free will, and moral awareness; therefore, acts of worship, commandments, and responsibilities were assigned to them. The purpose of divine law is not only rituals of worship, but also to guide humanity toward righteousness, justice, mercy, and the betterment of society. These responsibilities exist because humans will be held accountable for their choices and actions.
Other creatures, such as animals and insects, live according to the nature Allah created within them. They are not given the same level of moral responsibility as humans because they were not granted the same degree of intellect and free choice. This does not mean they are less important; every creature has its own wisdom, role, and value, and all creation reflects Allah’s power, mercy, and wisdom.
Divine law is human-centered because human beings were given the ability to consciously seek God, spread goodness, and be morally accountable for how they live.
