Editorial & Answer-Review Policy

Every answer on Ask Mufti Online is researched, reviewed and verified by qualified Muftis before it is published. This page explains exactly how we do it — our sources, our scholars, and how we handle corrections.

Our commitment

Ask Mufti Online exists to make authentic Islamic guidance accessible to everyone. We take that responsibility seriously: a religious ruling can affect how a person worships, earns, and lives, so accuracy and honesty matter more than speed or volume. Every answer we publish is intended to be well-researched, clearly referenced, and faithful to the primary sources of Islam.

Our Process

How Every Answer Is Reviewed

What Our Answers Are Based On

The Quran

The primary and final authority for every ruling we give.

Authentic Sunnah

Established Hadith of the Prophet ﷺ from reliable collections.

Established Fiqh

The recorded rulings and reasoning of recognised scholars of Islamic jurisprudence.

Classical Scholarship

Answers follow mainstream Sunni (Ahl al-Sunnah wa'l-Jamā'ah) scholarship; where a ruling follows a particular school, we make that clear.

Answers are written to be referenced and specific. Where a matter is subject to legitimate scholarly difference, we aim to note that rather than present one view as the only opinion.
