Should a Person With Waswas Ignore False Feelings of Certainty?

Question

If a person suffering from waswas after asking himself/herself , if he/she is certain and got no answer but after a while got a feeling that now if I ask I will be certain , so ask . Should he/she ignore this too . If the waswas makes him/her believe in false certainty.

Islamic Ruling & Answer

Verified

The ruling regarding doubts (waswas) is that they should be completely ignored and no attention should be paid to them.

Therefore, in such a situation, asking again or acting upon a new feeling of certainty is also not correct; rather, this too should be considered a doubt and left aside.

In Shariah, the original certainty is  (considered valid), not the doubts and whispers that arise later.
