Question
In the name of Allah, and peace and blessings to yourself a servant and messenger, please hear me with an open soul. I ask for forgiveness and any thoughts that were directed to you by Allah himself. I dreamed of a time from my youth from more than 75 years ago, when I was 9 years old, a few days before leaving Lebanon forever. I had already learned to read and write in Arabic, French and Latin. My family had tutors and believed I, like my brothers gain strength through knowledge and need not be afraid of gender with education. My English however, was taught to me after my fragments of my family survived a drowning, shootings and other hateful acts in war during the relocation to eastern Canada in 1939-40. Gratefully, we were united to remnants of family blood and friends, that had left Lebanon during war in 1879-1880. My older brother and I was born and had been living peacefully in Lebanon with both Catholic and Muslim families a-like. This was fortunate, at Catholic was the predominant religion in New Brunswick, Canada. I was loved, even after I was alone from when my brother was killed in action after his plane he was the gunner in was shot down over France 1943 after joining his new Canadian cousins. I remember my 100 year old grandmother, telling me to embrace the good people and to show Islamic faith with both gentle spiritual aura and actions in life. You will never believe in hate and only believe the ancient Quran my family had kept but saved with my family for over 800 years old. Fortunately, this was saved on our arrival to Canada and gifted to an Islamic Institution in Edmonton only last week. They believe it to be the oldest text. To my surprise, they did not know how to read the Hijazi Arabic and while printed in animal skin, it is very legible. The Mufti Yusif has spent time with me each day I have been in hospital. He is concerned, for it says to not martyr, love people of faith, Kind speech and forgiveness are better than charity. Allah is ever Pardoning and Competent. do not cooperate in sin and aggression. you will still observe deceit among them, except a few of them. Pardon them and overlook trival factors. The Quran teaches to ุถุญู laugh, God is humor, Islam is to share, embrace and I Allah will do the rest. I hope with Iran not being loved is showing outward hurt, like a child acting out. Muslim people need to show we are good. We are intelligent. We bring education with our earliest known mathematics, writing, civil works brining abundant food, love for all. Help Allah bring joy and rightfulness to the world. Little steps. Salฤh
Islamic Ruling & Answer
VerifiedYour words are touching and carry a beautiful message of faith, patience, and love. Islam truly teaches us to choose mercy, knowledge, and good character instead of hatred. The sacrifices of your family and your grandmotherโs advice are a great trust.
Similarly, what was said at the end about Iran is a personal and emotional opinion, not a religious or definite fact. Islam teaches us not to make general or one-sided judgments about any nation or country, but to deal with fairness and justice.
May Allah give us all the ability to follow the teachings of the Qurโan and spread goodness, peace, and love in the world. Ameen.
