Question

54. Surah Al-Qamar 44. أَمْ يَقُولُونَ نَحْنُ جَمِيعٌ مُنْتَصِرٌ Assalamu Alaikum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuh, I hope you are in good health and in the best of Imaan. I would like to seek your guidance regarding the naming of my newborn son. We are considering the name: “Muhammad Muntasir ad-Deen”

Islamic Ruling & Answer

Verified

Walekumussalam warahmatullahi wabaraktuh,

The name “Muhammad Muntasir ad-Deen” is Islamically permissible and a good name. “Muhammad” is the blessed name of the Prophet ﷺ, while “Muntasir ad-Deen” means “one who supports the religion” or “one who is granted success through the religion.” There is no harm in keeping this name.

Some good Islamic names:

Muhammad Abdullah

Muhammad Saad

Muhammad Zubair

Muhammad Talha

Muhammad Sufyan

Muhammad Hassan

Muhammad Muadh

Muhammad Anas

Muhammad Ayan

Muhammad Zaid

May Allah make the child righteous, pious, and a true servant of the religion. Ameen.
