Is Reciting the Qur’an Before Animals and Plants to Gain Their Testimony Permissible?

Question

If one recites quran in front of animals and plants thinking they would be witness on the day if judgement. So is the person doing a right thing or it's an innovation

Islamic Ruling & Answer

Verified

If a person recites the Quran with the intention that animals or plants will testify for him on the Day of Judgment, there is no clear proof for this in the Qur’an or Hadees. Therefore, having this specific intention is not correct.

However, reciting the Quran itself is a good deed and brings reward, whether it is recited in front of people or anywhere else. But making a special intention or belief that is not proven in Shariah is not appropriate.
