Who Is Obligated to Perform Qurbani (Udhiyah)?

Qurbani (Udhiyah) is a great act of worship performed during the days of Eid al-Adha, commemorating the sacrifice of Prophet Ibrahim (AS). This section clarifies the fundamental conditions that make Qurbani obligatory — including faith, sanity, maturity, residence, and wealth — along with the permissible animals, timing, and the true objective of the sacrifice, with authentic references from the Quran, Hadith, and Hanafi Fiqh.


1 Sahib e Nisab Musalman par Qurbani wajib hai

Har aqil (samajhdar), baligh, muqeem Musalman jiske paas zarooriyat e zindagi ke alawa itna maal ho jis par zakat wajib hoti hai (yani taqriban 612.36 gram chandi ki qeemat ke barabar), us par Qurbani wajib hai.

عن أبي هريرة رضي الله عنه أن رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم قال: من كان له سعة ولم يضح فلا يقربن مصلانا.

الأضحية واجبة على كل حر مسلم مقيم موسر في يوم الأضحى، والموسر من له نصاب أو قيمته فاضلا عن حوائجه الأصلية.

🌍 English: Qurbani (Udhiyah) is obligatory upon every sane, mature, resident Muslim who possesses wealth — over and above their basic necessities — equal to the Nisab on which Zakat becomes due (approximately the value of 612.36 grams of silver). The Prophet ﷺ said: "Whoever has the means and does not offer a sacrifice, let him not come near our place of prayer." This stern warning underlines how strongly Qurbani is emphasized for those who can afford it.

⚠️ NOTE 1: Qurbani wajib hone ke liye maal par ek saal guzarna zaroori nahi hai. Agar Ayyam e Eid ul Adha (10, 11, 12 Zul Hijjah) me kisi ke paas nisab ke barabar maal aajaye to us par Qurbani wajib hojaegi.

2 Musafir par Qurbani wajib nahi hai

Musafir par Qurbani wajib nahi hai, lekin agar wo apni khushi se Qurbani karle to use sawab milega.

ولا تجب على المسافر، لأن في الوجوب عليه من الحرج ما ليس في غيره، لاشتغاله بأسباب السفر.

🌍 English: Qurbani is not obligatory upon a traveler (Musafir), because the obligations and hardships of travel exempt them. However, if a traveler chooses to perform Qurbani voluntarily, they will be rewarded for it. The exemption is a concession (rukhsah), not a prohibition.


3 Sahib e Nisab aurat par bhi Qurbani wajib hai

Agar koi aurat sahib e nisab ho to us par bhi Qurbani wajib hai, chahe uska shohar alag se apni Qurbani kar raha ho.

تجب الأضحية على كل حر مسلم مالك لمقدار النصاب، ذكرا كان أو أنثى.

🌍 English: If a woman owns wealth equal to the Nisab, Qurbani is obligatory upon her independently — even if her husband is performing his own separate Qurbani. The obligation falls on every free, sane, adult Muslim who meets the wealth threshold, whether male or female. A wife's Qurbani is not covered by her husband's sacrifice.


4 Nabaligh bacchon par Qurbani wajib nahi

Nabaligh bacchon ki taraf se Qurbani wajib nahi hai, chahe unke paas maal hi kyu na ho.

ولا تجب على الصغير، لأنها قربة، والصبي ليس من أهل القربة على وجه الوجوب.

⚠️ NOTE 2: Agar koi apne bacchon ki taraf se nafli (voluntary) Qurbani karna chahe to kar sakta hai aur ispar sawab milega.

🌍 English: Qurbani is not obligatory on behalf of minor children, even if they own wealth, because Qurbani is an act of worship and a minor is not bound by such obligations. However, a parent or guardian may voluntarily perform a Qurbani on behalf of their children (Nafl Qurbani), and this is a rewardable act.


5 Qurbani ka waqt — 10 se 12 Zul Hijjah

Qurbani ka waqt 10 Zul Hijjah ko namaz e Eid ke baad se shuru hokar 12 Zul Hijjah ke ghuroob e aftab (sunset) tak hai.

عن البراء بن عازب رضي الله عنه قال: قال النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم: إن أول ما نبدأ به في يومنا هذا أن نصلي، ثم نرجع فننحر، فمن فعل ذلك فقد أصاب سنتنا.

⚠️ NOTE 3: Shehri ilaqon me agar koi namaz e Eid se pehle Qurbani karle to Qurbani adaa nahi hogi, balke dobara karna zaroori hoga.

عن البراء رضي الله عنه قال: قال النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم: من ذبح قبل الصلاة فإنما ذبح لنفسه، ومن ذبح بعد الصلاة فقد تم نسكه وأصاب سنة المسلمين.

✅ NOTE 4: Dehat (villages) ya aise ilaqe jahan namaz e Eid adaa nahi hoti, wahan ke log subah e sadiq (Fajr) ke baad Qurbani kar sakte hai.

أهل القرى يجوز لهم الذبح بعد طلوع الفجر الثاني، لعدم اشتراط الصلاة في حقهم.

🌍 English: The time for Qurbani begins after the Eid prayer on the 10th of Zul Hijjah and extends until sunset on the 12th of Zul Hijjah. In urban areas (where the Eid prayer is held), slaughtering before the Eid prayer is invalid and must be repeated — the Prophet ﷺ said whoever slaughters before the prayer has only slaughtered for himself. In villages or places where no Eid prayer is held, residents may perform Qurbani after the break of true dawn (Fajr).


6 Qurbani kin janwaron ki hoti hai?

Qurbani sirf in maweshi (livestock) janwaron ki ho sakti hai:

(a) 🐐 Bakra / Bakri (Goat)

(b) 🐑 Bhed / Dumba (Sheep / Ram)

(c) 🐄 Gaay (Cow)

(d) 🐃 Bhains (Buffalo)

(e) 🐪 Oont (Camel)

Allah ta'ala ka irshad hai : Aur har ummat ke liye humne Qurbani ka ek tareeqa muqarrar kiya, taake wo un maweshi chaupaayon par Allah ka naam le jo Allah ne unhe ata kiye hai. (Sure Hajj 34)

وَلِكُلِّ أُمَّةٍ جَعَلْنَا مَنسَكًا لِّيَذْكُرُوا اسْمَ اللَّهِ عَلَىٰ مَا رَزَقَهُم مِّن بَهِيمَةِ الْأَنْعَامِ (الحج ٣٤)

🌍 English: Qurbani may only be performed with specific livestock animals: goat, sheep/ram, cow, buffalo, and camel. The Quran refers to these as "Baheemat al-An'am" (grazing livestock). Allah states that He has prescribed a method of sacrifice for every nation, so they may mention His name over the livestock He has provided. Other animals (such as chickens, deer, or wild game) do not fulfill the Qurbani obligation.


7 Ek bakra ek hissa, bade janwar me saat hisse

Ek bakra ya bakri sirf ek shakhs ki taraf se kaafi hoti hai, jabke gaay, bhains aur oont me saat hisse tak ho sakte hai, yani saat afrad ek janwar me shareek ho sakte hai.

عن جابر رضي الله عنه قال: نحرنا مع رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم عام الحديبية البدنة عن سبعة، والبقرة عن سبعة.

🌍 English: One goat or sheep suffices for a single person only. However, a cow, buffalo, or camel can be shared among up to seven people — meaning seven individuals may jointly participate in the sacrifice of one large animal. The Companion Jabir (RA) reported that during the year of Hudaybiyyah, they sacrificed a camel for seven and a cow for seven alongside the Prophet ﷺ. Each share must be at least one-seventh; smaller fractions are not valid.


8 Qurbani ka asal maqsad — Taqwa

Qurbani ka maqsad sirf gosht hasil karna nahi, balke Allah ta'ala ki itaa'at aur taqwa hasil karna hai.

Allah ta'ala farmate hai : Allah tak na unka gosht pohanchta hai aur na unka khoon, balke us tak tumhara taqwa pohanchta hai. (Sure Hajj 37)

لَن يَنَالَ اللَّهَ لُحُومُهَا وَلَا دِمَاؤُهَا وَلَٰكِن يَنَالُهُ التَّقْوَىٰ مِنكُمْ (الحج ٣٧)

🌍 English: The true purpose of Qurbani is not merely to obtain meat, but to attain obedience to Allah and the consciousness of God (Taqwa). Allah states clearly: "Their meat will not reach Allah, nor will their blood, but what reaches Him is your piety (Taqwa)." The sacrifice is a symbol of devotion, sincerity, and willingness to give up what is dear — following the example of Prophet Ibrahim (AS). The spiritual intention behind the act is what holds value before Allah.

Age Requirements and Defects of Sacrificial Animals

Understanding the specific age requirements and permissible defects for each type of sacrificial animal is essential for fulfilling the Qurbani obligation correctly. This section clarifies which animals are valid based on their age, what physical defects render an animal unacceptable, and the importance of treating sacrificial animals with kindness and care according to Islamic principles and Hanafi Fiqh.


1 Qurbani ke janwar ki shar'i umar

Qurbani ke liye janwar ka shar'an mu'ayyan umar ka hona zaroori hai. Har ek janwar ki apni umar hai:

🐐 Bakra / Bakri (Goat): Kam az kam 1 saal (12 mah) poora hona zaroori hai.

🐑 Bhed / Dumba (Sheep / Ram): Agar 6 mahine ka ho aur saal bhar ka lagta ho (matlab body ek saal ke qareeb mahsoos ho) to jaiz hai. Lekin agar 1 saal poora hojaye to behtar hai.

🐄 Gaay / 🐃 Bhains (Cow / Buffalo): Kam az kam 2 saal (24 mah) poora hona zaroori hai.

🐪 Oont (Camel): Kam az kam 5 saal (60 mah) poora hona zaroori hai.

عن جابر رضي الله عنه قال: قال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم: لا تذبحوا إلا مسنة، فإن أعيا عليكم فعجل فاذبح الجذع من الضأن.

المسنة: هي الداخلة في السنة الثانية من العمر (أي بعد إكمال السنة الأولى)۔

⚠️ NOTE 1: Agar janwar shar'i umar se kam ho to us ki Qurbani jaiz nahi hogi, chahe janwar kesa bada ya tazurwar ho.

من قرب قربانة ناقصة دركة، فلا يقبل الله منه۔

🌍 English: The Shariah specifies exact age requirements for each animal. A goat or sheep must be at least one year old. A young sheep (6 months old) is permissible only if it is large and appears to be close to one year old in body. A cow or buffalo must be at least two years old. A camel must be at least five years old. The Prophet ﷺ said: "Do not slaughter except a mature (Msinnah) animal. If you find it difficult, then slaughter a yearling from the sheep." An animal below the prescribed age cannot be offered as a sacrifice, regardless of its physical size or appearance.


2 Qurbani ke janwar se kaunsi aibein jaiz hain?

Qurbani ka janwar har us aib se paak hona chahiye jo gosht ya sehat par asar andaaz kare. Is liye derج ذیل janwaron ki Qurbani jaiz nahi:

عن البراء بن عازب رضي الله عنه قال: قال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم: أربع لا تجوز في الأضاحي: العوراء البين عورها، والعرج البين عرجها، والعمياء، والمريضة البين مرضها۔

الأعوار: المكفوفة العينين أو إحدى العينين بشكل ظاهر۔ العرج: عدم القدرة على المشي بشكل طبيعي۔ المريضة: التي تظهر عليها أعراض المرض۔

🌍 English: Four defects make an animal unacceptable for Qurbani: obvious blindness (in one or both eyes), obvious lameness (inability to walk normally), deafness or dumbness, and obvious sickness. The Prophet ﷺ made this explicitly clear. An animal must be free from any defect that would affect its meat quality or demonstrate poor health.


3 Kana aankh — ek aankh ka kana

Ek aankh ka kana janwar jis ka kana pan zahir aur clear ho (yani ek aankh bilkul bekar ho chuki ho) to us ki Qurbani jaiz nahi hai.

العوراء: هي التي ذهب نور عينها ظاهراً، سواء أكانت اليمنى أم اليسرى۔

⚠️ NOTE 2: Bilkul chhoti aib jaise aankh par chhoti khikh ya halka kathrat, agar zahir na ho, to Qurbani jaiz hai. Lekin agar aib zahir aur clearly visible ho to jaiz nahi.

🌍 English: An animal that is blind in one eye (Al-Awar) with the blindness being obvious and apparent is not acceptable for Qurbani. The defect must be clearly visible. Minor blemishes that are not obvious or do not affect the animal's health (such as a small scar or slight discoloration not visible at a glance) do not disqualify an animal.


4 Bahut kamzor janwar

Bohat kamzor janwar jis ke haddiyon mein maghz bilkul na reh gaya ho (yani bilkul dheela ho chuka ho), ya jis mein beemar ka asar zahir ho, us ki Qurbani jaiz nahi.

المريضة البين مرضها: التي ظهرت عليها أعراض المرض بوضوح، سواء كان نحول الجسم أو الضعف الشديد۔

🌍 English: An animal that is severely emaciated, with bones lacking marrow (completely weakened), or showing obvious signs of illness is not acceptable for Qurbani. The animal must be in good health with adequate body condition.


5 Langra janwar

Langra janwar jo chal na sake ya jo ek pair par nahi chal sakta, us ki Qurbani jaiz nahi.

العرج: هو عدم مقدرة الحيوان على المشي بشكل طبيعي۔ فإن كان عرج بين واضح لا تجوز الأضحية.

⚠️ NOTE 3: Bilkul halka langrapan jisse janwar normally chal sake, to jaiz hai. Lekin agar zahir langrapan ho to jaiz nahi.

🌍 English: An animal that is lame and cannot walk normally or is unable to stand on one of its legs is not acceptable. The animal must be able to walk normally and move without obvious difficulty. Slight, imperceptible limping that does not prevent normal movement may be overlooked, but obvious lameness disqualifies the animal.


6 Gire hue dant

Jis janwar ke zyada daant gir chuke hon aur wo charne se aajiz ho gaya hai, us ki Qurbani jaiz nahi.

الحيوان الذي ذهب أكثر أسنانه أو ظهره معيب لا تجوز الأضحية فيه۔

🌍 English: An animal that has lost most of its teeth and is unable to graze properly is not acceptable for Qurbani, as the loss of teeth indicates age or poor health that compromises the animal's condition.


7 Tuta hua singh

Agar janwar ke singh toot gaye hon lekin jad (root) baqi ho aur khoon nek se behti ho, to Qurbani jaiz hai.

إذا انكسر قرن الحيوان ولم ينزف الدم من موضع الكسر فتجوز الأضحية۔

⚠️ NOTE 4: Agar jad (root) se bhi lahu bahne lage, to Qurbani jaiz nahi.

🌍 English: If an animal's horns are broken but the root remains intact and there is no discharge of blood from the site of fracture, the Qurbani is permissible. However, if blood flows from the root of the horn, the Qurbani is not valid.


8 Paidaishi taur par singh na hona

Jis janwar ka paidaishi taur par singh na ho (yani jannat se hi singh nahi the), us ki Qurbani jaiz hai.

الحيوان الذي ولد بلا قرن لا يكون معيب في الأضحية۔

🌍 English: An animal that is born without horns (naturally polled) is not defective and is acceptable for Qurbani. The defect is defined as something lost or broken, not as the natural absence of horns.


9 Kaan ya dum kata

Agar janwar ka thoda sa kaan ya dum kata ho (matlab choti si jagh kat gayi), to Qurbani hojaayegi. Lekin agar aik tehaayi (1/3) ya us se zyada hissa kata ho to jaiz nahi.

إن قطع من الأذن أقل من الثلث فالأضحية تجوز، أما إذا قطع الثلث فأكثر فلا تجوز۔

⚠️ NOTE 5: Bilkul halka katna jisse saaf zahir na ho, to muaaf ho sakta hai. Lekin 1/3 ya zyada hissa kat gaya to bilkul jaiz nahi.

🌍 English: If a small portion of the ear or tail is cut off (less than one-third), the Qurbani is still valid. However, if one-third or more of the ear or tail is severed, the animal becomes defective and is not acceptable for Qurbani.


10 Husn e Sulook — janwar ke saath Reham

Qurbani ke janwar ke saath husn e sulook (behtar bartalao) karna aur use takleef na dena sunnat hai. Nabi e Kareem ﷺ ne janwar ko reham aur narmi ke saath zibah karne ki taleem di hai.

عن شداد بن أوس رضي الله عنه قال: قال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم: إن الله كتب الإحسان على كل شيء، فإذا قتلتم فأحسنوا القتلة، وإذا ذبحتم فأحسنوا الذبح.

— صحيح مسلم برقم ١٩٥٥

الإحسان: أن يُعطَى الحيوان حسن المعاملة قبل الذبح، وأن يُحدّ السكين ويكون الذبح سريعاً وبدون ألم غير ضروري.

Allah ke Rasool ﷺ ne farmaya: "Allah ne har cheez mein ihsan ko farz kiya hai. Jab tum zibah karo to achche tareeqe se zibah karo."

✅ HUSN E SULOOK KE TAREEQE:
  • • Pani aur khana: Qurbani se pehle janwar ko achha khana aur pani dena chahiye.
  • • Takleef se bachain: Janwar ko zibah karte hue takleef na den.
  • • Tez chaku: Hamesha tez chaku use karen taake zibah ek hi jo se ho.
  • • Jaldi zibah karna: Lambi takleef se bachain, jaldi aur saaf zibah karen.
  • • Doosre janwaron se door: Zibah karte samay doosre janwaron ko dekhaaye nahi.

🌍 English: Good treatment (Ihsan) of the sacrificial animal is mandatory. The Prophet ﷺ said: "Allah has prescribed Ihsan (excellence) in everything. When you slaughter, do it beautifully." This means: (1) Feed and water the animal well before slaughter, (2) Handle it gently without causing unnecessary stress, (3) Use a sharp knife for a quick, clean cut that minimizes pain, (4) Do not let the animal see the knife or witness the slaughter of other animals, (5) Complete the slaughter swiftly. Kindness to animals is an Islamic obligation that reflects obedience to Allah.

Qurbani Karne Ka Tareeqa Aur Sunnatein

The Method and Etiquette of Performing Qurbani

Qurbani is a great act of worship (Ibadah). The proper execution of this ritual requires understanding the correct method (Tareeqa) and the Sunnahs that accompany it. This section clarifies the preparation before slaughter, the correct intention, the proper method of slaughter according to Shariah, the importance of animal welfare, and common mistakes to avoid — all based on the Quran, authentic Hadith, and Hanafi Fiqh.


1 Qurbani ka asal maqsad — Niyyat (Intention)

Qurbani ek azeem ibadat hai, lekin iska maqsad sirf Allah Ta'ala ki raza ke liye hona chahiye. Qurbani mein riyakari, dikhawa aur sirf rasam ki niyyat se bilkul bachain.

Allah Ta'ala farmate hain: "Allah tak na unka gosht pohanchta hai aur na unka khoon, balke us tak tumhara taqwa pohanchta hai." (Sure Hajj 37)

لَن يَنَالَ اللَّهَ لُحُومُهَا وَلَا دِمَاؤُهَا وَلَٰكِن يَنَالُهُ التَّقْوَىٰ مِنكُمْ ۚ (الحج ٣٧)

⚠️ NOTE 1: Niyyat bilkul khaalis honi chahiye. Agar koi is niyyat se Qurbani kare ke log dekhen ya shuhar karne ke liye, to Allah us se naraz hoga.

🌍 English: The true purpose of Qurbani is obedience to Allah and the attainment of His pleasure (Taqwa). The meat does not reach Allah, nor the blood, but your piety reaches Him. Therefore, Qurbani must be performed with a sincere intention, free from showing off, ostentation, and the mere fulfillment of custom. The heart must be focused entirely on pleasing Allah.


2 Chhuri ko tez karna (Sharpening the Knife)

Qurbani se pehle chhuri ko achhi tarah tez kar lena sunnat hai taa ke janwar ko kam takleef ho aur zibah ek dam mein ho jaye.

عن شداد بن أوس رضي الله عنه قال: قال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم: إن الله كتب الإحسان على كل شيء، فإذا قتلتم فأحسنوا القتلة، وحد أحدكم شفرته وليرح ذبيحته۔

تحديد الشفرة (السكين): یعنی اسے تیز کرنا تاکہ ایک ہی جھٹکے میں ذبیحہ ہوجائے۔

3 Janwar ko takleef na dena (Animal Welfare)

Qurbani ke waqt janwar ko takleef na dena bilkul zaroori hai. Janwar ko maarna, ghaseetna, doosre janwar ke saamne zibah karna ya us ke saamne chhuri tez karna sab makrooh aur haram hai.

نهى عن ان يؤلم الحيوان قبل الذبح، وعن الجرّ والسحل والتعذيب بأي وجه من الوجوه۔

  • • Janwar ko pyaar se salamat rakhna: Qurbani se pehle janwar ko thandi jagah deni chahiye aur pyaar se rakhna chahiye.
  • • Jaldi zibah karna: Janwar ko samne walon se alag le kar tezi se zibah kar dena chahiye.
  • • Kaan, dum ya andaza bagair dikhaaye: Janwar ko chot na pahunchaye.
  • • Ek hi baar mein zibah karna: Takleef kam se kam ho.

🌍 English: It is strictly forbidden to cause pain to an animal before slaughter. Do not beat, drag, or torture the animal. Do not let it see the knife being sharpened. Do not allow other animals to witness the slaughter of one animal. Keep the animal calm and handle it gently. Islam teaches that mercy toward animals is an act of worship and a reflection of obedience to Allah. Any deliberate cruelty is sinful.


4 Qibla rukh karna (Facing the Qibla)

Qurbani ke waqt janwar ko qibla rukh karna mustahab hai. Yani janwar ka munh Kabaa ki taraf hona chahiye.

🌍 English: It is preferable (Mustahab) to position the animal facing the Qibla (direction of the Kaaba) when slaughtering. For camels, they are slaughtered while standing with one leg bound. For cows and sheep, they are laid on their left side to expose the right side of the neck. The person performing the slaughter should stand on the right side of the animal.


5 Qurbani ki Dua (Invocation During Slaughter)

Qurbani ke waqt ye dua padhna masnoon hai:

بِسْمِ اللَّهِ، اللَّهُ أَكْبَرُ، اللَّهُمَّ مِنْكَ وَلَكَ۔

Tarjuma: "Allah ke naam ke saath, Allah sabse bada hai۔ Aye Allah! Ye teri taraf se hai aur tere hi liye hai۔"

عن أنس رضي الله عنه قال: ضحى النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم بكبشين أملحين أقرنين، فرأيته يسمي على أحدهما ويكبر۔

🌍 English: When slaughtering, it is Sunnah to recite: "Bismillahi Allahu Akbar, Allahumma minka wa laka" (In the name of Allah, Allah is Greatest. O Allah, this is from You and for You). This invocation expresses the intention that the sacrifice is made solely for the pleasure of Allah. The Prophet ﷺ himself recited these words and proclaimed the Takbeer (Allahu Akbar) during his sacrifices.


6 "Bismillahi Allahu Akbar" ka Hukm (Naming Allah's Name)

Qurbani ke waqt Allah ka naam lena bilkul zaroori hai. Agar jaan boojh kar Allah ka naam chhor diya to janwar halal nahi hoga aur Qurbani adaa nahi hogi.

عن رافع بن خديج رضي الله عنه قال: قال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم: إن لم تذكر اسم الله عليها فهي ميتة۔

✅ BHOOL  GAYA TO JAIZ HAI: Agar bhool kar Allah ka naam chhor jaye, to janwar halal rahega aur Qurbani ada ho jaayegi, kyu ke yeh bhool se hua hai jaan boojh kar nahi۔

لو أنسى التسمية من غير تعمد فالذبيحة تؤكل لأنه معذور۔

🌍 English: It is mandatory to mention the name of Allah (Bismillah) at the time of slaughter. If done intentionally without mentioning Allah's name, the animal becomes Haram (forbidden) to eat, and the Qurbani is not fulfilled. However, if forgotten unintentionally, the animal remains Halal and the Qurbani is valid, because the person is excused for unintentional omission. The key difference is intention: deliberate omission nullifies; forgetfulness does not.


7 Apne Haath Se Qurbani (Slaughtering with One's Own Hand)

Apne haath se Qurbani karna afzal aur sunnat hai, agar aadmi sahi tareeqe se kar sake. Nabi e Kareem ﷺ ne apne haath se Qurbani ki thi.

عن عائشة رضي الله عنها قالت: دخل النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم فإذا هو بحفنة من دراهم على السرير، فقال: ما هذا؟ قلت: هذا لك تصدقت به قوم فوقع من يدك۔ قال: خذيه فتصدقي به، فإني لا أقعد على مال حرام۔

⚠️ NOTE 3: Agar koi khud Qurbani na kar sake to kisi doosre shakhs ko wakeel (representative) bana sakta hai. Is mein koi harj nahi۔

🌍 English: It is preferable (Afzal) and Sunnah to slaughter the animal with your own hands, provided you can do so correctly and mercifully. The Prophet ﷺ slaughtered his sacrificial animals with his own hands. This personal performance of the act deepens the connection to the worship and the sacrifice. However, if someone is unable to perform the slaughter themselves due to lack of skill or physical inability, they may appoint a representative (Wakil) to perform it on their behalf. There is no harm in doing so.


8 Doosre Mulk Mein Qurbani (Qurbani in Another Country)

Online ya doosre mulk mein Qurbani karwana bhi wakalat (representation) ki ek soorat hai. Agar kisi ke paas sarmaaya (funds) ho aur wo Qurbani karna chahe lekin us ke mulk mein Qurbani ka tareeqa mustakil nahi hai, to wo kisi doosre mulk mein apne wakeel ke zariye Qurbani karwa sakta hai.

⚠️ ZAROORI SHART: Wakalat tab jaiz hai jab wakeel (representative) bilkul qabil e wtabar ho aur us par bharosa kar sakte ho. Online Qurbani service ka istmal karte waqt pakka dekh lo ke service halal aur shar'i tareeqe ke mutabiq hai۔

🌍 English: Appointing a representative to perform Qurbani in another country or through an online service is a valid form of agency (Wakalah). If someone is unable to perform Qurbani themselves and cannot access the necessary facilities, they may arrange for it to be done on their behalf through a trustworthy and reliable representative. The critical condition is that the representative must be trustworthy and the service must adhere to Shariah guidelines. One should verify that any online service or organization is legitimate and performs the slaughter according to Islamic principles.


9 Shar'i Zabah — Correct Method of Slaughter

Shar'i zibah mein bilkul zaroori hai ke halk (windpipe), mari (food pipe) aur dono ragon (main arteries) mein se aksar hissa kaatna. Yaani kam az kam 3 cheeze mein se 3 kaatni zaroori hai.

🌍 English: For a valid Shariah-compliant slaughter (Dhabh), it is essential to sever most of the following four structures: the windpipe (Halkum), the foodpipe (Mari), and both the main neck arteries (Wadjain). At least three of these four must be cut to ensure proper and swift death. The cut must be swift and clean in one motion, and the knife must be extremely sharp to minimize suffering. Sawing motions or multiple cuts are not permissible and indicate poor technique.


10 Aam Galtiyan Qurbani Mein

Qurbani karte waqt in galtiyon se bilkul bachain:

❌ Eid ki namaz se pehle Qurbani karna: Eid ki namaz ke baad hi Qurbani karna sunnati tareeqa hai۔ Pehle kari hui Qurbani adaa nahi hoti۔

Distribution of Meat and Hide

After the animal has been slaughtered, the meat and hide become possessions that must be dealt with according to Islamic principles. This section clarifies how to distribute the meat, whether to sell or give away the hide, what is permissible to give to the butcher, and special rules for vowed sacrifices. Understanding these rulings ensures that the Qurbani remains a complete act of worship even after the slaughter.


1 Gosht Taqseem Karne Ka Tareeqa (Distribution of Meat)

Mustahab ye hai ke Qurbani ka gosht 3 hisson mein taqseem kiya jaye:

🏠 Ek hissa: Apne ghar (Khud aur parivaar) ke liye

👥 Ek hissa: Rishtedar, milon aur dostoon ke liye

🤝 Ek hissa: Ghareebon, miskeenon aur zarooratmandon ke liye

فَكُلُوا مِنْهَا وَأَطْعِمُوا الْبَائِسَ الْفَقِيرَ ۛ (الحج ٢٨)

Tarjuma: "Is se khud bhi kha lo aur ghareebon ko bhi khila do۔"

⚠️ NOTE 1: Ye taqseem mustahab hai, wajib nahi۔ Zaroorat ke mutabiq kam ya zyada bhi rakh sakte hain, lekin ghareebon ko dena afzal aur sawab ka sabab hai۔

🌍 English: The recommended (Mustahab) practice is to divide the meat into three portions: one for yourself and your family, one for relatives and friends, and one for the poor and needy. Allah says in the Quran: "So eat thereof and feed the poor who have no food" (Surah al-Hajj 28). This division is not obligatory but is strongly encouraged. You may keep more for yourself if circumstances require it, but sharing with the poor is the more virtuous and rewarded approach.


2 Apne Liye Kitna Rakh Sakte Ho?

Aadmi chahe to sara gosht apne ghar ke liye bhi rakh sakta hai, khaas taur par agar ghar wale zyada hon, parivaar bara ho ya zaroorat ho۔

ولا بأس أن يأكل كلها من الضحية إن شاء، بل يستحب أن يتصدق منها.

✅ AFZAL YEH HAI: Ghareebon aur zarooratmandon ko dena kyun ke is se sadqah ke saath rishta rehmi (kin ki khidmat) ka faida milta hai aur sawab zyada hota hai۔

🌍 English: You are permitted to keep all the meat for yourself and your family if you wish. There is no restriction on this. However, it is more virtuous (Afzal) to share the meat with the poor and those in need. Giving to the needy combines the spiritual benefit of charity (Sadaqah) with kinship and compassion, and brings greater reward from Allah. The choice ultimately rests with you based on your circumstances and intentions.


3 Rishtedarон Aur Ghareebon Ko Gosht Dena

Qurbani ka gosht rishtedaron, padosiyon aur ghareebon ko dena bilkul mubaarak aur mustahab hai۔ Rishtedaron ko dene se silat e rahmi (rishte ki qaddardani) ka sawab milta hai۔

فَكُلُوا مِنْهَا وَأَطْعِمُوا الْقَانِعَ وَالْمُعْتَرَّ ۛ (الحج ٢٨)

Tarjuma: "Is se khud bhi kha lo, rishtedar ko bhi khila do aur zarooratmand gareeb ko bhi dedo۔"

✅ SILAT E RAHMI:
  • • Maa baap, bhai bahan, chachay, phuphones: Sab ko gosht dena afzal hai۔
  • • Nazdiki padosi: Padosi ko bhi dena mustahab ہے، kyun ke Nabi ﷺ ne padosi ke hak ka khayal dilaaya ہے۔

🌍 English: Giving meat to relatives, neighbors, and the poor is highly encouraged and rewarding. When you give to relatives, you fulfill the obligation of maintaining family bonds (Silat al-Rahm), which is a deeply valued act in Islam. Neighbors also have special rights in Islam, and the poor benefit from charity. The Quranic instruction is to "eat thereof and feed the beggar and the needy" (Surah al-Hajj 28). This distribution reflects the comprehensive purpose of Qurbani: worship, gratitude, family bonds, and compassion.


4 Gair-Muslim Ko Gosht Dena (Giving to Non-Muslims)

Qurbani ka gosht gair-Muslim ko dena bhi jaiz hai, agar woh harbi (enemy state mein se) na ho।

وجائز أن يعطي الكافر الغير حربي من لحم أضحيته۔

⚠️ NOTE 2: Khaas taur par agar padosi ya zarooratmand gair-Muslim ho, to husn e sulook (behtar bartalao) ke taur par gosht diya ja sakta hai. Is se rishta behtari aur amaan qayam hota ہے۔

🌍 English: It is permissible to give Qurbani meat to a non-Muslim, provided they are not from an enemy state or those with whom Muslims are at war. This is in accordance with the Hanafi school. In particular, giving meat to a non-Muslim neighbor or those in need is a beautiful practice of kind dealings (Ihsan) that fosters good relations and social harmony. The Prophet ﷺ emphasized good treatment of neighbors regardless of their religion, making this a practice aligned with Islamic ethics.


5 Qasai Ko Gosht Ya Khal Ujrat Mein Dena (Payment to Butcher)

Qasai ki mazdoori ke badle gosht, charbi, khal ya Qurbani ka koi hissa dena jaiz nahi! Yeh bilkul makrooh aur haram hai۔

عن سلمة بن الأكوع رضي الله عنه قال: قال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم: من كانت له ذبيحة يذبحها فليذبحها قبل أن يضحي، ومن كانت له أضحية فليشتر لحماً لجزاره، ولا يعطيه من أضحيته شيئاً۔

— صحيح البخاري برقم ١٧١٧، صحيح مسلم برقم ١٣١٧

Tarjuma: "Nabi ﷺ ne kaha: Qurbani ke gosht se qasai ko ujrat mat dena. Balke naqad paisa dena chahiye ya kisi aur cheez se ujrat de do۔"

✅ SAHI TAREEQA:
  • • Pehle se hi naqad ujrat tay karni chahiye: Qasai ko Qurbani se pehle hi cash pay dena chahiye۔
  • • Ya apne paas se khareed kar dena: Qurbani ke gosht se alag ujrat dena۔

Nabi ﷺ ka amal: "Qurbani ka gosht sab se alag rakho, qasai ko naaqad ujrat do۔"

The Prophet ﷺ explicitly commanded: "Do not give the butcher anything from your sacrifice." Instead, you must pay the butcher in cash beforehand or from other sources. If you wish to give the butcher meat as a gift after paying him separately in cash, that is permissible. The key principle is that the Qurbani must be kept entirely separate from the butcher's payment.


6 Khal Ka Hukm (The Hide)

Qurbani ki khal ko 3 tareeqon se istemal kar sakte ho:

🏠 Khud Istemal Karna: Khal ko khud use kar sakte ho (jooton, bags, namaaz ki jaae banane ke liye, etc.)۔

🎁 Hadiya Dena: Khal ko kisi ko hadiye mein de sakta hai۔

🤲 Sadqah Karna: Khal ko ghareebon aur Madrese ke liye sadqah kar sakta hai۔

والجلد للمضحي، إن شاء جعله صدقة، وإن شاء تصرف فيه بما يشاء۔

❌ HARAM: Khal ko bech kar us ki raqam apne zaati istemal mein lena jaiz nahi! Agar bech diya to us ki kamai sadqah kar dena zaroori ہے۔
⚠️ MANSUKH HADEES: Pehle kuch arse tak khal ko khud istemal karna zaroori samjha jaata tha، phir Nabi ﷺ ne baad mein poore khal ko sadqah karne ki ijazat de di۔ Ab khal ke baare mein hazoor ﷺ ki aakhri hukm yeh ہے ke khud use kar sakte ho ya sadqah kar do۔

🌍 English: The hide of the sacrificial animal belongs to you. You have three options: (1) Use it for yourself (for shoes, bags, prayer mats, etc.), (2) Give it as a gift to someone, or (3) Donate it as charity (Sadaqah) to the poor or Islamic institutions. However, it is strictly forbidden to sell the hide and keep the money for personal use. If you have already sold the hide, you must donate the proceeds as charity. The hide is part of the sacrifice and should not be treated as personal profit.


7 Qurbani Ka Gosht Bechna (Selling the Meat)

Qurbani ka gosht bechna bilkul jaiz nahi hai! Nabi ﷺ ne is se mana farmaya۔

ولا يبيع لحم الأضحية۔

❌ AGAR BECHI HO GAYi TO: Jis ne Qurbani ka gosht becha ہے, us ki poori kamai sadqah karna zaroori ہے। Iska matlab ye ہے ke jitni kamai hui, poori sadqah karni padesee aur gareebo ko deni ہے۔
⚠️ NOTE 3: Qurbani ka maqsad ibadat aur sadqah ہے، na ke business ya kamai۔ Is liye gosht ko bechna aur apne liye kamai rakhna ibadat ke khilaf ہے۔

🌍 English: It is strictly prohibited to sell any of the meat from your sacrifice. The purpose of Qurbani is worship and charity, not profit. If someone has sold the meat, they must donate all the proceeds from the sale as charity. The money received cannot be kept for personal use—it must go entirely to the poor and needy. This rule emphasizes that the Qurbani is an act of devotion to Allah, not a commercial transaction.


8 Freezer Mein Rakhna Jaiz Hai Ya Nahi? (Storage)

Qurbani ka gosht freezer mein rakhna bilkul jaiz aur mubaarak hai!

عن عائشة رضي الله عنها قالت: دخل النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم فإذا عندنا لحم قد آتى عليه ثلاثة أيام، فقال: لولا أن تطعموا الآخرين ما أمسكتم منه؟ فأكلنا وادخرنا وأطعمنا۔

— صحيح مسلم برقم ١٩٧١

Tarjuma: "Aisha (Razi Allah anha) ne kaha: Hazoor ﷺ ne teesre din poocha, 'Isko kyun rakh rahe ho?' To kaha, 'Ummahaat ne kaaha ke agle din ke liye rakhte hain taa ke aur logon ko bhi dee ja sake۔' To Nabi ﷺ ne ijazat de di۔"

✅ FAYDAH:
  • • Gosht ko khrab hone se bachana: Freezer gosht ko taza rakta ہے۔
  • • Aaram se taqseem karna: Jab time mile to sadqah kar sakte ho۔
  • • Zaroorat ke oras use karna: Mahineyon baad bhi khil ja sakta ہے۔

🌍 English: It is completely permissible to store the sacrificial meat in a freezer. Initially, scholars had discouraged prolonged storage, but the Prophet ﷺ later permitted it when Aisha (RA) explained that they were keeping it to share with others. The freezer is an excellent modern tool that allows you to preserve the meat without spoilage, distribute it gradually as you find recipients, and ensure it reaches those in need in fresh condition. You may store the meat for weeks or even months if necessary, as long as it is ultimately distributed and not wasted.


9 Nazar Ki Qurbani Ka Gosht (Vowed Sacrifice)

Nazar (Mannat) mein di gayi Qurbani ke liye alag hukm hai!

Agar koi nazar laye ke "Allah! Agar mere beta shi ban jaye to Qurbani karunga," to us Qurbani ka gosht khud nahi kha sakta۔

إذا نذر الشخص أن يضحي، فإن لحم تلك الأضحية يجب أن يتصدق بها على الفقراء ولا يأكل منها۔

❌ NAZAR KI QURBANI: Nazar ki Qurbani ka gosht poora poora sadqah karna zaroori ہے۔ Khud khane ke liye ek loqma bhi nahi۔
⚠️ NOTE 4: Nafli Qurbani (apni khushti se) aur Nazar Ki Qurbani (mannat wali) ke masail mein farq hota ہے۔ Nafli mein khud kha sakte ho, Nazar mein sadqah karna zaroori ہے۔

🌍 English: If you have made a vow (Nazar) to sacrifice an animal in fulfillment of a condition or promise to Allah, the meat of that vowed sacrifice must be entirely donated as charity to the poor. You cannot keep any of it for yourself, not even a small portion. This is a special ruling that differs from ordinary (Nafl) sacrifices where you may keep meat for your family. The difference is important: a vowed sacrifice is an obligation in response to Allah's fulfillment of your request, and all the meat becomes an obligatory charity (Sadaqah Wajibah).


10 Khulasa — Gosht Aur Khal Ke Akhlaqi Usool

Qurbani ke baad Gosht aur Khal ke bare mein sab se zaroori baat yeh hai:

✅ IKHLAQI MASAIL:

5 Qarz Lekar Qurbani Karna

Agar aadmi ke paas paisa nahi lekin woh aasani se qarz ada kar sakta hai, to qarz lekar Qurbani kar sakta hai۔

If you lack the capacity to repay a loan, then Qurbani does not become obligatory on you simply by borrowing. The principle is that Qurbani cannot create financial hardship or put you in a precarious position.


6 Business Wale Par Qurbani Ka Hukm

Jo shakhs business ke maal, cash ya savings ki wajah se sahib-e-nisab ho, us par Qurbani wajib hai, chahe business murghi farm ka ho ya kisi aur cheez ka۔

A poultry farmer with thousands of birds, a trader with inventory worth Nisab, or a shopkeeper with sufficient capital all have the obligation to perform Qurbani if they meet the other conditions.

A Shariah-defined traveler is someone who has left their place of residence with the intention to return, such as someone on Hajj pilgrimage or a temporary journey. If a traveler chooses to perform Qurbani, it is permissible and brings reward. However, if a person is settled in a place and has taken up residence there, they are no longer considered a traveler, and Qurbani becomes obligatory if other conditions are met.


8 Mayyit Ki Taraf Se Qurbani (Sacrifice for Deceased)

Mayyit (deceased) ki taraf se nafli Qurbani karna jaiz aur sawab ka kaam hai۔

✅ MAYYIT KI WASIYYAT: Agar mayyit ne apni wasiyyat mein kaha ho ke Qurbani karwayi jaye, to us ke maal ke ek tihai mein se Qurbani karna zaroori hoga۔

The Prophet ﷺ performed two sacrifices—one for himself and one on behalf of those in his Ummah who did not perform Qurbani. 11 10 Zul Hijjah Ke Chand Ke Baad Baal Aur Nakhun Katana

Jo shakhs Qurbani karna chahta ho us ke liye mustahab hai ke Zul Hijjah ka chand dekhne ke baad Qurbani tak baal aur nakhun na kaate۔

عن أم سلمة رضي الله عنها قالت: قال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم: إذا رأيتم هلال ذي الحجة وأراد أحدكم أن يضحي فليمسك عن شعره وأظفاره۔

Jamaat ke saath namaz padhne wale aur tanha namaz padhne wale dono Takbeer-e-Tashreeq padhenge۔

سواء صلى في الجماعة أم وحده، فعليه التكبير۔

⚠️ MASLA: Agar jamaat mein padhte ho to Imam ke saath ya Imam ke baad takbeer padh sakte ho۔ Tanha namaz padhne wale ko apni takbeer padni ہے۔

🌍 English: Whether a person prays in congregation (Jamaat) or alone (tanha), they are obligated to recite the Takbeer after the prayer. In congregational prayers, the worshippers may recite the Takbeer together with the Imam (prayer leader) or after him. Those who pray alone must still recite the Takbeer after completing their prayer. The obligation is universal and does not depend on whether the prayer was performed congregationally or individually.


6 Musafir Par Takbeer Ka Hukm

Agar musafir (traveler) muqeem imam ke peeche namaz padhe to takbeer padhega۔ Agar tanha padhe to Hanafi fiqh ke mutabiq us par wajib nahi۔

إن صلى المسافر خلف الإمام المقيم كبر معه، وإن صلى وحده فلا يكبر على المشهور من مذهب أبي حنيفة۔

⚠️ HANAFI MASLA: Musafir tanha namaz padhe to Takbeer-e-Tashreeq nahi padega, lekin agar muqeem imam ke peeche padhe to padhega۔

🌍 English: The obligation of Takbeer-e-Tashreeq for travelers (Musafir) depends on their prayer arrangement. If a traveler prays behind a settled (Muqeem) Imam, they must recite the Takbeer along with the congregation. However, if they pray alone, according to the prominent view of Hanafi jurisprudence, the Takbeer is not obligatory on them. This is because the Takbeer is specifically tied to the congregational or settled prayer structure in the Hanafi school.


7 Agar Takbeer Bhool Jaye To?

Agar namaz ke baad foran yaad aa jaye to takbeer padh le۔ Zyada der ho jaye to saqit (skip) ho jayegi۔

إن تذكره قريباً من الصلاة فكبر، وإن تأخر فلا يكبر۔

⚠️ ZAMANI HADDI: Agar namaz ke turant baad yaad aa jaye to padhein, lekin bilkul lambi der baad yaad aye to na padhein۔

🌍 English: If you forget to recite the Takbeer immediately after the prayer and remember it shortly afterward, you should recite it. However, if a considerable amount of time has passed since you completed the prayer, the obligation to recite that particular Takbeer is waived. The principle is that the Takbeer should be recited as an integral part of the prayer conclusion, and a long delay breaks this connection.


8 Subah Jaldi Uthna Aur Ghusl Karna

Eid ke din jaldi uthna, ghusl karna, miswak karna aur safai ka ehtimam karna sunnat hai۔ Ye Eid ki tayyaari aur adab hai۔

من السنة الغسل والتطيب والتنظف يوم العيد۔

  • • Subah jaldi uthna: Namaz ki tayyaari ke liye۔

🌍 English: On Eid ul-Adha, it is Sunnah to wake early, perform ritual bathing (Ghusl), use the miswak (tooth-cleaning stick), clean one's body thoroughly, and wear clean clothes. These preparations represent the respect and reverence owed to this sacred day. Early rising allows time for the Fajr prayer and other pre-Eid devotions. Ritual purity through bathing is encouraged on all Islamic festivals and reflects the spiritual elevation of the occasion.


9 Achhe Kapde Aur Khushboo Lagana

Eid ke din achhe kapde pehenna aur khushboo lagana sunnat hai۔ Ye Eid ki khushi aur ihtiraam ka izhar ہے۔

من السنة لبس أحسن الثياب والعطر يوم العيد۔

  • • Naye ya achhe kapde: Eid ke liye special tayyari۔
  • • Khushboo (Itr): Perfume ya khushboo lagana۔

🌍 English: Wearing fine or new clothes and applying fragrance on Eid is a recommended Sunnah. The Prophet ﷺ encouraged believers to beautify themselves for this blessed occasion. Wearing good clothes symbolizes respect for the festival and gratitude to Allah for its arrival. Perfume should be pure and permissible. This practice demonstrates joy while maintaining Islamic propriety and avoiding extravagance.


10 Eid ul Adha Mein Namaz Se Pehle Kuch Na Khana

Eid ul Fitr mein namaz se pehle kuch khana sunnat hai, lekin Eid ul Adha mein afzal ye hai ke Qurbani ke baad khaya jaye۔

لا يأكل في الأضحى حتى يصلي ويضحي۔

⚠️ FARQ: Eid ul Fitr: Namaz se pehle kuch khana sunnat। Eid ul Adha: Namaz aur Qurbani ke baad khana afzal۔
✅ MASLA:
  • • Eid ul Fitr: Namaz se pehle khajoor ya kuch mitha khana sunnat ہے۔
  • • Eid ul Adha: Qurbani ke gosht se pehli khana khana afzal ہے۔

🌍 English: There is an important difference between the two Eids regarding eating before prayers. On Eid ul-Fitr, it is Sunnah to eat something (typically dates) before attending the prayer. On Eid ul-Adha, the practice is to delay eating until after the prayer and the performance of Qurbani. It is preferable to eat from the meat of one's own sacrifice (if possible) as the first food. This practice ties the joy of eating to the act of worship and gratitude, emphasizing that the meal is blessed through the sacrifice.


11 Eidgah Paidal Jana

Agar aasani ho to Eidgah paidal jana sunnat hai۔ Ye Nabi ﷺ ka amal ہے۔

كان النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم يمشي إلى العيد ماشياً۔

⚠️ MAZHOORI: Agar paidal jana sakna mumkin nahi (beemaari, buri halat), to vehicle use kar sakte ho۔

🌍 English: Walking to the prayer ground (Eidgah) on foot is a Sunnah, provided it is feasible. The Prophet ﷺ would walk to Eid prayers. Walking provides an opportunity for additional worship through movement with purpose and allows for contemplation. However, if walking is difficult due to illness, disability, distance, or other legitimate impediments, using transportation is permissible. The key is to maintain the spirit of respect and reverence for the occasion.


12 Ek Raste Se Jana Aur Doosre Se Wapas Aana

Nabi ﷺ Eid ke din ek raste se jate aur doosre raste se wapas aate the۔ Ye Nabi ﷺ ka mustaqil amal ہے۔

كان النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم إذا ذهب إلى العيد يرجع من طريق غير الطريق الذي جاء فيه۔

  • • Zeada logo ko dekha: Alag raste se aur bhi Muslims ko salaam de sakte ho۔
  • • Dua ka mausam: Alag areas ko bhe dua mein shamil karna۔
  • • Niyyat ki tazkreef: Mukhtalif raaste mukhtalif hasde ko ibadat ke liye remember karte ہain۔

🌍 English: The Prophet ﷺ had the practice of going to Eid prayer via one route and returning via a different route. This practice serves multiple purposes: it allows him to meet and greet more people, provides an opportunity to see different parts of the community, and symbolizes the vastness of the Muslim Ummah. Following this Sunnah demonstrates attention to detail in worship and honors the teachings of the Prophet ﷺ.


13 Eidgah Mein Takbeer Padhna

Eidgah jate hue aahista awaaz mein takbeerat padhna mustahab hai۔ Ye Eid ke liye tayyari aur takwa ki alamat ہے۔

يستحب التكبير ذاهباً إلى صلاة العيد بصوت منخفض۔

✅ TAREEQA:
  • • Takbeer padhen: Aahista awaaz mein۔
  • • Takbeer-e-Tashreeq: Jis takbeer ko padhte ho۔

🌍 English: On the way to the Eid prayer ground, it is recommended (Mustahab) to recite Takbeer in a low voice. 14 Eid Ki Mubarakbaad Dena

Sahaba-e-Kiram ek doosre ko Eid ke din mubarakbaad dete the۔ Ye Islamic taameeri adab ہے۔

كان من فعل الصحابة أن يهنئ بعضهم بعضاً بقول: تقبل الله منا ومنك۔

✅ ALFAAZ:
  • • "Taqabbalallahu minna wa minkum"
  • Tarjuma: "Allah hum se aur aap se (Qurbani) qabool farmaye۔"
  • • Ya: "Eid Mubarak" - Eid mubaarak ho۔

🌍 English: Greeting each other with Eid congratulations is a practice of the Sahaba (Companions of the Prophet). The traditional greeting is "Taqabbalallahu minna wa minkum" (May Allah accept from us and from you), which emphasizes the spiritual dimension of the celebration. This greeting recognizes that both the speaker and the listener have participated in the worship and sacrifices of these blessed days. Modern greetings like "Eid Mubarak" (Blessed Eid) are also used and are in the spirit of this Sunnah. Such greetings strengthen bonds of brotherhood and sisterhood in Islam.


15 Qurbani Mein Jaldi Karna

Namaz-e-Eid ke baad jaldi Qurbani karna afzal hai۔ Is se roza na rakhne wale bhi khana khake foran zakaat ada kar sakta ہے۔

من السنة المسارعة في الذبح بعد الانتهاء من صلاة العيد۔

✅ AFZIL YEH HAI:
  • • Namaz turat baad Qurbani: Kisi late delay se bachain۔
  • • Ayyam-e-Nahr: 10-12 Zul Hijjah mein۔

🌍 English: It is preferable to perform the Qurbani (slaughter) immediately after the completion of Eid prayer. This expediency is encouraged by the Sunnah. Early completion of the sacrifice allows for timely distribution of meat to relatives and the poor, and it demonstrates eagerness in fulfilling this act of worship. The Qurbani should be performed within the designated period (10-12 Dhul-Hijjah) and early completion of this obligation is rewarded and encouraged in Islamic teaching.


16 Eid Ke Din Gunah Aur Laghwiyat Se Bachna

Eid khushi ka din hai, lekin is mein gunah, fahashi, music aur be-hayai se bachna zaroori hai۔

وَاذْكُرُوا اللَّهَ عَلَىٰ مَا هَدَاكُمْ ۚ وَبَشِّرِ الْمُخْبِتِينَ (البقرة ١٨٥)

— سورة البقرة آية ١٨٥

Tarjuma: "Aur Allah ka zikr karo us hidayat par jo us ne tumhe di aur takabba-ul-mukhbiteen (jo Allah se humbled ہain) ko khush khabri dو۔"

❌ BACHCHNE KE LIYE:

  • • Fahashi aur gunah: Baddi-fahaali aur gandi kaat۔
  • • Nasha-haram cheezen: Sharab, drugs۔
  • • Jhooth aur fareb: Traders ko betaq karni۔

🌍 English: While Eid is a day of joy and celebration, it must remain within the bounds of Islamic propriety. Believers should avoid sins, indecency, unlawful music, and behavior that contradicts the sacred nature of the occasion. The celebration should be infused with remembrance of Allah (Dhikr) and gratitude for His blessings. The joy of Eid is legitimate when it is accompanied by obedience to Allah and respect for the religious significance of the day. Families may gather, enjoy permissible food and company, and express happiness in ways consistent with Islamic values.


17 Ayyam-e-Tashreeq Ki Fazilat

Ayyam-e-Tashreeq (11, 12, 13 Zul Hijjah) ke din bahut barkat aur fazilat wale hain۔

عن عقبة بن عامر رضي الله عنه قال: قال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم: أيام التشريق أيام أكل وشرب وذكر الله۔
