Question
What are prohibited fears in islam . Is being scared of a person due to past experience come under prohibited fears if like whenever sitting with him , he sits at a distance , and can't maintain eye contact for long , and wants to avoids him , as he feels scared.
Islamic Ruling & Answer
VerifiedIf someone feels fear in their heart because of a bad past experience feels nervous sitting near that person or cannot maintain eye contact this is a natural and psychological fear, not a prohibited fear.
Prohibited fear is the kind of fear that makes a person leave the truth, neglect an obligation, or commit a sin.
So, as long as there is no compromise in religion, this fear is not a sin.
