Aslam alikum ... I Don't know but I will tell in short.. When I got my senses I was looking at myself doing istinjaa by just splashing water ..I then opted to go for hozer. I tried many times by doing it with hand but I Don't know why I cant do it ...I was raised like that ... is my istinjaa valid or not đŸĨē

Islamic Ruling & Answer

Verified

Walekumussalam,

Your istinja is completely valid, and there is no defect in it. Because in Shariah, the main purpose of istinja is simply to remove impurity (najasah), and it is not necessary to use the hand. Therefore, if you clean yourself properly by splashing water or using a hose and the impurity is removed, your istinja is considered valid. Using the hand is not a compulsory condition; rather, the essential thing is cleanliness. Whichever method achieves complete cleanliness is sufficient.

However, if at any time you feel that the area has not been properly cleaned, then it is better as a precaution to use the hand. But in normal circumstances, your method is completely correct. So, there is no need for you to worry your istinja is valid.
