Islamic Greeting: Assalamualaikum Explained
Question
Assalamualaikum, I am Maryam I want to say that I feel very difficult in offering prayers and doing ablution during my pregnancy. Its ny third month and my energy gets so low at prayers times that I can barely get up and do ablution and offer prayers due to which i miss my prayers and that gives me guilt.
Islamic Ruling & Answer
VerifiedWalekum assalam,
Feeling weak during pregnancy is normal. Islam is a religion of ease. Allah does not burden anyone beyond her strength. If a pregnant woman cannot pray standing, she may pray sitting, and if that is also difficult, she may pray lying down with gestures. Do not feel guilty…Allah knows your intention and effort.
You may read these duas anytime, even while resting:
رَبِّ اشْرَحْ لِي صَدْرِي وَيَسِّرْ لِي أَمْرِي
O my Lord, open my chest and make my matter easy.
اللّٰهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ الْعَافِيَةَ
O Allah, I ask You for good health and protection.
اللّٰهُمَّ احْفَظْنِي وَاحْفَظْ مَا فِي بَطْنِي
O Allah, protect me and protect my baby.
حَسْبِيَ اللّٰهُ لَا إِلٰهَ إِلَّا هُوَ
Allah is enough for me; there is no god but Him.
May Allah grant you ease, good health, and bless you with a righteous child.
Aameen
