Question
Do cigarettes break wudu?
Islamic Ruling & Answer
VerifiedSmoking a cigarette does not break wudu (ablution). However, since it causes a bad smell in the mouth, and bad odors are disliked by the angels, it is better before reciting the Qurโan or performing prayer with that wudu to renew the wudu, or at least rinse the mouth thoroughly and clean it properly.
