Islamic Ruling & Answer

Walekumussalam,

Istinja (cleaning after toilet) is the same for both men and women: only the impure area needs to be washed. For women, washing the outer part is necessary; washing inside is not required.

The end of menses is known by checking with cotton or cloth. If there is complete dryness or a white discharge, she is considered pure.

It is not necessary to check before every prayer or repeatedly. Checking once or twice a day is enough, especially to avoid doubts.

If dryness was seen in the morning but blood appeared later, the menses is still continuing. In this case, she should not do ghusl or pray.

If purity is clearly seen before a prayer time, she should do ghusl and pray. However, if she strongly feels the bleeding may return, she can wait a little.
