Assalamualaikum, If a suffers from waswas , And thinks most likely it was like this , most likely I it happened like this , should he / she follow what's one thinks most likely happened. And if one is most likely sure that one has thought about it but doesn't know , what was the conclusion. Should a person suffering form waswas ignore this too
Islamic Ruling & Answer
VerifiedWalekumussalam,
If a person is prone to waswas (doubts), they should not act on thoughts like “most likely this happened,” because in a state of waswas, such assumptions are not reliable. The principle in Shariah is that anything not established with certainty should be ignored, as certainty is not removed by doubt. Similarly, if a person feels, “Perhaps I thought about this, but I don’t remember what conclusion I reached,” then this should also be completely ignored, and no ruling or decision should be based on it. In summary, in cases of waswas, one should always disregard doubts and act only on what is certain.
