Should I Wait for the Adhan Before Breaking My Fast?

Question

Assalamualaikum If Local masjid distributes , pamphlet where , it shows the timing for breaking fast . Can we follow it or should we wait for the adhaan .

Islamic Ruling & Answer

Verified

Walekumussalam,

If the masjid’s pamphlet is reliable and shows the correct prayer times, you can break your fast according to it. It is not necessary to wait for the adhaan. However, if you have any doubt, it is better to wait for the adhaan.
