Four key rulings: Ghusl, Gift cards, Bank bonus & Credit cards

Question

I have a few questions; 1. If I had nocturnal emission and decided to do ghusl after I went to the toilet. And something came out after ghusl is another ghusl necessary per hanafi fiqh? So I went toilet, ghusl, and then felt something afterwards - in this case what to do? Because I saw that hanafi say that another ghusl is necessary if something comes out after ghusl but not if youโ€™ve peed but Iโ€™m not sure if youโ€™re supposed to pee after the ghusl or before for the ruling to work. I felt something after I saw something online so I do think it was madhi I felt but I have heavy doubt so just in case I wanted to confirm if I needed to do ghusl or not if it wasnโ€™t madhi. 2. If work gives a gift card at Christmas time as a working benefit is it halal to use that gift card - Iโ€™m not sure if they package it as a Christmas gift or end of year gift but Iโ€™ve used one already in the past as I didnโ€™t think about the permissibility but now Iโ€™ve gotten another one and Iโ€™m wondering if itโ€™s permissible to use. The things Iโ€™ve already bought with them - am I allowed to use them for eg a belt and scrunchies? Can I use the Christmas gift card my company gave to the workers or do I give it back? I saw somewhere that you canโ€™t accept this because youโ€™re celebrating Christmas or kind of agreeing with it. To be honest I donโ€™t know if this is an end of year benefit or Christmas โ€œgiftโ€ from the company. Do I have to pay charity because I used two gift cards in the past without knowing. 3. If a bank does this deal where someone recommends the bank and if I get an account and make three payments using that card, within a time limit, they give me ยฃ75 or something pounds - is this permissible to do and use? Itโ€™s a referral scene of sorts where my friend referred me and I got the card and made the payments in time and received the money. Do I have to pay charity if Iโ€™ve used the money? 4. Could you explain credit cards permissibility as this is a debated topic. I live in a country where itโ€™ll be hard to get big loans without a credit card and good credit score, how would I overcome this problem without a credit card.

Islamic Ruling & Answer

Verified

(1) If you had a wet dream and urinated before doing ghusl, then if something comes out after ghusl, you do NOT need to do ghusl again.

But if you did not urinate before ghusl and semen comes out later, then you have to do ghusl again.

If what came out was madhi (pre-seminal fluid), then ghusl is not required, only wudu is enough.

In case of doubt, unless you are sure it is semen, it will be treated as madhi, so ghusl is not required.

(2) If the company gives this gift card as a job benefit or bonus, then it is permissible to use it. It does not mean you are celebrating or agreeing with Christmas.

The gift cards you already used:

No sin, and no charity required.

So you can use the current gift card without worry.

(3) If the bonus is given under a condition that involves interest (riba) or requires interest-based transactions, then it is not permissible, because it supports riba.

Since most conventional banks deal with interest, it is better to avoid such bonuses.

However, if the bonus is for something not involving interest and is just a gift/incentive, then there may be some allowance.

If you already took and used the money, then it is better (as a precaution) to give that amount in charity.

(4) A credit card that includes a condition of interest if payment is late is not permissible to take.

However, if someone takes it out of need and always pays on time to avoid interest, then there is some allowance.

It is better to use debit cards or interest-free alternatives, and if a credit score is needed, then use it very carefully and responsibly.
