Ruling on having a child through another man (naturally or via IVF) if the husband agrees

Question

I need your opinion on some matters, they have been on my mind. I heard of a situation where a woman's husband was infertile so they agreed that she should sleep with another man and they will claim the pregnancy as theirs, is this right if the husband agrees and what if they decide to use IVF with another man's sperm so the wife can get pregnant. I am just confused because someone told me it's okay if the husband and wife agree

Islamic Ruling & Answer

Verified

(1) Having relations with another man to get pregnant:

This is strictly forbidden (haram), even if the husband agrees. In Islam, any relationship outside marriage is considered zina (adultery), and the husbandโ€™s permission does not make it allowed. It also creates problems with lineage (who the child truly belongs to), which is very important in Islam.

(2) Getting pregnant through IVF using another manโ€™s sperm:

This is also not allowed (haram), because it involves a man who is not the husband. This leads to confusion in lineage (mixing of parentage).
