How to Purify Impure Clothes by Hand, Washing Machine, or Shower?

Question

What is the proper way to wash clothes by hand and in a washing machine, and is it permissible to rinse *napaak* clothes under a shower jet instead of soaking them in a bucket of water?

Islamic Ruling & Answer

Verified

(1) If clothes become impure (napaak), they must be washed until the impurity completely disappears  meaning no color, smell, or trace remains.

Reference :

“Purify your garments.”

(2) Whether washing by hand, in a washing machine, or under a shower, the ruling is the same. The principle is:

اŲ„ØšØ¨ØąØŠ Ø¨Ø˛ŲˆØ§Ų„ اŲ„Ų†ØŦاØŗØŠ

“The ruling depends on the removal of impurity.”

So if the impurity is removed with flowing water  even under a shower  the clothes become pure. Soaking in a bucket is not required.
