Physical Closeness Between Adult Siblings

Question

Salam, i know that , males and females and siblings can't sleep together in one bed , if they are able to . So does it also apply to laying down together, sleeping on one's sister's or brother's lap. What about picking them up and spinning them with the intention of suprising them or just to make them laugh.

Islamic Ruling & Answer

Verified

Walekumussalam,

When siblings reach the age of understanding or puberty, unnecessary physical closeness and sleeping in the same bed is not considered appropriate for them. Similarly, lying in each otherโ€™s lap or picking each other up and spinning, although not inherently unlawful if there is no desire involved, is still better avoided in order to maintain modesty and proper boundaries.
