Faith and Anxiety Can Coexist

Question

Assalamualaikum...i sincerely pray..fast..i love Allah from my heart...dream of going to jannah...but at the same time i m always soo negative...anxious...depressed...how can both coexist??

Islamic Ruling & Answer

Verified

Walekumussalam,

This is possible. Love for Allah and acts of worship are signs of faith, while negative thoughts or anxiety can be a human or psychological trial. Both can exist at the same time, and this does not negate oneโ€™s faith.
