Ranks in Surah Al-Waqiah

Yes, in Surah Al-Waqiah, three types of people are mentioned:

(1) Who are the Sabiqun (the foremost)?

They are those who excel in good deeds, are closest to Allah, and will attain the highest rank of Paradise.

(2) Who are the People of the Right (Ashab al-Yameen)?

They are righteous people who will receive their record in their right hand. They will be in comfort and blessings in Paradise and are those who fulfill their obligations.

(3) Who are the People of the Left (Ashab al-Shimal)?

They are sinful and disobedient people who will receive their record in their left hand and will deserve punishment.

How can one become among the Sabiqun and the People of the Right?

To become among the Sabiqun, a person should not only fulfill obligations but also engage in voluntary عبادات, avoid sins, develop sincerity, and strive to excel in good deeds.

To become among the People of the Right, one should strengthen faith, consistently perform obligatory duties (like prayer and fasting), avoid unlawful things, and adopt good character.
