Is It Kufr to Use Software Called “GodMode”?
Question
Kufr in item usage? I want to use an application (software) called "godmode". I do not believe in it and the application does not have anything to do with religion. Is it kufr to use such software and does this name mock Allah in any way? It's a file sorting application, do i become a kafir?? Only the name is of notice, everything else is normal
Islamic Ruling & Answer
No, using such an app is not disbelief (kufr), because you do not hold any belief regarding this name, nor is there any real intention of disrespect toward the religion or Allah . It is merely a technical/terminological name.
However, as a matter of respect, if you feel uncomfortable with such names, it is better to avoid them. But using it does not make you a disbeliever.”
