Can You Give Zakat Without Telling the Recipient That the Money Is Zakat?

When giving Zakat to a needy person, is it necessary to inform them beforehand that the money being given is Zakat?

It is not necessary to tell the person giving Zakat that you are being given Zakat; rather, the intention of the person giving Zakat is sufficient.
