Yes, Shaban has special importance in Islam.
The Prophet ๏ทบ used to fast frequently in Shaban and said it is a month in which deeds are presented to Allah, so he loved that his deeds be raised while fasting.

Shaban also serves as preparation for Ramaแธan through increased worship and repentance.
The 15th night of Shaban is a night of Allahโs mercy, but no fixed special prayers or celebrations are established.
