What Should a Son Do if His Mother Constantly Abuses Him and His Wife?

My mother abuses me and my wife very frequently without any reason. She do so whenever she feels to do it. What should I do as a son and what should my wife do? Jazakallahu Khayran

VerifiedIn this situation, act with patience and wisdom. Do not be rude or harsh with your mother; instead, try to explain things gently at the right time. Advise your wife to remain patient and stay quiet, and try to avoid such situations as much as possible. If the matter becomes serious, seek help from a wise elder or a respected family member to resolve it.
