Splitting Surah Al-Baqarah does not reduce reward

Question

Does splitting Surah Al-Baqarah reduce its reward? If Surah Al-Baqarah is not recited in one sitting but is instead divided over 3 days โ€” for example, the first portion on the first day, the middle portion on the second day, and the final portion on the third day โ€” will one still attain the full spiritual rewards and blessings such as repelling Shaytan, illuminating the home, and the intercession on the Day of Judgment? Does reciting it in separate portions result in any reduction or loss of these virtues? What is the ruling or scholarly opinion of Islamic scholars on this matter?

Islamic Ruling & Answer

Verified

If someone completes it by dividing it over 2 or 3 days, they will still receive the full reward, blessings, and virtues of reciting it, such as protection from Shaytan and blessings in the home. These virtues are related to the recitation of the complete Surah, not to finishing it in a single sitting.

However, scholars state that it is more virtuous and better to complete it in one sitting or with fewer breaks when possible. Still, dividing it does not reduce the reward or remove its blessings.
