Using Hypothetical Examples vs Lying

Question

Assalamualaikum I know sins should not be revealed and I read in this website , how should one ask questions . My doubt is If one changes the story while writing but using "if a person.." Would it be lying .

Islamic Ruling & Answer

Verified

Walekumussalam,

No, if you change the story and write it using "If a personโ€ฆ", it is generally not considered lying, because you are not revealing the actual event and are only giving a hypothetical example.
