Is Using Your Own Voice in YouTube Videos Halal?
Question
> I make YouTube puzzle videos such as "Find the Odd One Out" and "Find the Hidden Object." The videos do not contain any people, animals, faces, or living beings. They only show fruits, vegetables, or objects. I use my normal male voice to give instructions such as "Find it within 10 seconds" or "Comment your answer below." I do not use music or musical instruments. Is using my voice in such videos permissible (halal) according to Islamic teachings?
Islamic Ruling & Answer
VerifiedYes, if the videos do not contain anything impermissible (such as immodesty, music, obscenity, or encouragement of sin), and you are only using your normal speaking voice to give instructions, then using your voice in such educational or entertainment-based puzzle videos is generally permissible in Islamic law.
However, the content itself should be permissible, should not lead to wasting excessive time or any other Sharโi wrongdoing, and the other aspects of the channel should also remain in accordance with Islamic teachings.
