Which Day Should We Consider Arafah: Saudi Arabia or Local Moon sighting ?

Question

Which Day Should We Consider Arafah: Saudi Arabia or Local Moon sighting ?

Islamic Ruling & Answer

Verified

For the fast of Yawm al-Arafah and the determination of Eid al-Adha, the primary consideration is the moon sighting of oneโ€™s own country or local region. Therefore, Muslims in each area should follow their local moon sighting or the reliable official Islamic announcement of their region. However, those who are performing Hajj will follow the Day of Arafah in Saudi Arabia for Wuquf at Arafah.
