Is It Kufr to Describe the Prophets as “Weird” Without Intending Disrespect?
Question
is it kufr to say prophets were weird? ie they held weird beliefs at the time. rhe person who said this had no intention to mock the prophets or Islam or call them or their beliefs wrong or irrational, they basically mixed weird with strange. Does he have to reenter Islam?
Islamic Ruling & Answer
No, it is not kufr—as long as there was no intention to insult or mock, and “weird” was only meant in the sense of “unfamiliar/strange.”
However, this wording is inappropriate and disrespectful, so one should seek forgiveness and avoid such expressions in the future. There is no need to re-enter in Islam.
