Question
Assalamu alaikum, I would like some guidance regarding two dreams I saw on the same day. In the first dream, I saw myself pregnant, although I did not see or know who the father was. The people around me seemed happy about it. In the second dream, I saw another woman who was pregnant. In the dream, it seemed that she herself agreed to sacrifice her baby as part of a ritual in order to start or succeed in a business, and the baby was harmed in a very disturbing way. After that, the baby appeared to return inside her again in a strange and frightening form. Later, people were trying to harm the woman, but she was running away to protect herself. Both dreams felt very vivid and emotional, especially the second one, which was very disturbing. Could you please guide me on whether these dreams have any meaning in Islam, and what I should do regarding them? JazakAllahu khair.
Islamic Ruling & Answer
VerifiedWalekumussalam,
ith regard to the two dreams you described, it should be understood that according to Islamic teachings, dreams are of three types: (1) from Allah (Rahmani), (2) from Shaytan (disturbing), and (3) from oneโs own thoughts (nafsani).
As for your first dream, in which you saw yourself pregnant, it generally indicates a new responsibility, concern, or a change in life. There is nothing Islamically wrong with it, nor is there any need to worry.
As for the second dream, since it was very disturbing, frightening, and distressing, it is most likely from Shaytan, and such dreams do not carry any valid interpretation.
The Islamic guidance regarding such dreams is: lightly spit to your left side three times, reciteุฃุนูุฐ ุจุงููู ู ู ุงูุดูุทุงู ุงูุฑุฌูู ), do not share the dream with others, and pray to Allah for goodness
Therefore, you should not worry about these dreams nor base any judgment or decision upon them.
