If only a moulana the bride and groom were present is the nikkah valid

If, at the time of the Nikah, only the Maulana, the groom, and the bride were present, and there were no Shar‘i witnesses, then the Nikah was not valid.
For a Nikah to be valid, along with the offer and acceptance (Ijab and Qabul), at least two sane, adult Muslim male witnesses (or one male and two female witnesses) must be present. The mere presence of a Maulana is not sufficient.
