Prayer Despite Coaching Constraints

Question

Assalamualaikum. What if , one's coaching has started and because of that he/sh e is not able to perform salah , so even if the person does not go , his/her parents won't allow , as he /she is not that good in studies .can that person lie to his/her father about going but actually not going while somehow convincing the mother . There is no masjid to go even if he/she took a break and if prayed on the grass or in park , the person thinks , he /she may get attacked by non muslims and if his/her parents got to know it , then , the mother would be worried and father may beat him/her . Do you have any advice Can this person pray sitting on a chair , if he/she gets a break but awrah is not properly covered .

Islamic Ruling & Answer

Verified

Walekumussalam,

Even in such a difficult situation, it is not right to completely abandon prayer. The effort should be to perform the prayer in a safe place during the break in a short time. If standing to pray is not possible, then in case of necessity, the prayer can also be performed while sitting. However, for a woman, covering is essential for prayer, so one should try to cover properly as much as possible. Lying to parents is not right; it is better to try to make them understand your difficulty with wisdom and gentleness and find a way in which studies continue and prayer is also performed
