Is It Better to Pray Salah on Time Alone or Wait for Congregation (Jama'ah)?

Question

I usually prayer my Zuhr, Asr and sometimes Maghrib in the place allocated for praying in the office. So, what's better should I pray alone on time or wait for someone to join for the Jama'h at a later instance of time. Thanks

Islamic Ruling & Answer

Verified

If there is hope that a few colleagues will join soon and the Jama‘ah will still be within the prayer time, then waiting and praying with Jama‘ah is more virtuous. But if there is uncertainty or delay, then praying on time alone is better than risking missing or excessively delaying the Salah.
