Question

Assalamualaikum to imam I have question please at work place there 3 partner and 1 partner takes some food without telling other partners will it be ok to take the food for him in his car. I told him that to tell his partner but he says that the chicken is his but as far as i can see the things to marinate the chicken is belongs to all partners i can tell other partner but it like becomes different because the relation between my managers looks to me will different but i think it was better to tell him rather than other they may think different way ? I need to know please does swallowing lips break your fast? Thanks

Islamic Ruling & Answer

Walekumussalam,

(1) In the situation you described, if the food is made from items that belong to all partners, then taking it without permission is not correct. Since you already advised him to inform the other partners, you have done your responsibility. It is better to keep things clear and transparent in such matters so that there is no misunderstanding or anyoneโ€™s rights are affected.

(2) While fasting, swallowing the small moisture of the lips or saliva does not break the fast, because it is normally from inside the mouth and it is difficult to avoid. However, it is not correct to intentionally put something from outside into the mouth and swallow it.
