Is Zakat Still Due If Gold Is Sold Before the Zakat Date?

Assalamualaikum warahmatullahi wabarakatuhu Mufti saab, If a person sells some gold ornaments in 8th/9th month. Will the zakat still applicable?

Yes, if you have sold the gold ornaments, then zakat will now be due on the money or wealth you have, provided the nisab is reached and one lunar year has passed.
