Ruling on Brushing During Fasting

Question

Can we brush teeth while fasting it's allowed in islam

Islamic Ruling & Answer

Verified

No, brushing with toothpaste while fasting is considered makrooh (disliked).

Therefore, brushing during the day is not regarded as appropriate; it is better to brush before Suhoor or after Iftar.

However, if toothpaste or water goes down the throat, the fast will break.
