Can I Use a Tissue While Crying During Salah?

Question

Is it permissible to use a risque when crying during the 5 compulsory prayers ?

Islamic Ruling & Answer

Verified

If tears come during prayer, it is permissible to let them flow. If needed, it is also permissible to gently wipe them with a tissue or handkerchief, provided that this does not go against the proper manner of prayer and does not involve excessive movement (ʿamal kathīr).

Therefore, wiping away tears once or twice in a normal manner with a tissue does not invalidate the prayer. However, unnecessary or repeated movements should be avoided so that humility, concentration, and devotion in prayer are maintained.
