Is Personal Revenge Allowed in Islam?

Question

Can we murder a person who had killed our family members.

Islamic Ruling & Answer

Verified

No, it is not permissible to kill someone on your own, even if that person has killed a member of your family.

In Islam, the right to carry out Qisas (legal retribution) and punishment belongs only to the court and an Islamic authority. An individual is not allowed to take revenge by themselves.
