How Should School Books Containing the Name of Allah Be Treated?

Question

If school books contain name of Allah , written in hindi . Should we cut of that page and dispose it , through burning of by running water or it is not required. And if it is required, do we have to do this to name of authors (who have islamic name) ex if someone's name is Muhammad. Should we cut out that page . Can does one have to tell all his classmates about it or only muslims , what if he/she is shy . Will it be shirk to not tell anyone .

Islamic Ruling & Answer

Verified

No, if the name of Allah is written in Hindi or in any language in a school book, it is not necessary to cut that page, burn it, or throw it into water. The name is written for educational and normal use, and there is no intention of disrespect. However, respect should be maintained — for example, do not throw the book on the ground and do not insult it intentionally.

Similarly, if the name of an author or person is “Muhammad” or any other Islamic name, it is not required to cut that page. There is no need to remove pages because of common names.

It is also not obligatory to tell all classmates about this issue. If someone can explain it politely, that is good. But if a person is shy and does not tell others, there is no sin.

And not telling anyone is not shirk. Shirk means associating partners with Allah, and this matter has nothing to do with that.
