Using an EHS Card for another person

The medical benefits provided under the EHS card are restricted to the government employee and those family members whose names are officially registered under the scheme according to its rules. Therefore, if your name is not included in the EHS card, it would not be permissible for your sister-in-law to obtain medicines or medical treatment for you using her name or her card. Likewise, if the card details are required to be updated after marriage, they should be updated in accordance with the applicable rules. However, if your name is officially registered under the card and the scheme's regulations entitle you to receive these benefits, then there would be no issue in benefiting from them.
