Can a Woman Read the Quran from an App During Menstruation?

Question

Can a women read Quran from app during menstruation

Islamic Ruling & Answer

Verified

During menstruation, it is not permissible for a woman to recite the Qurโ€™an in a regular manner. So if she reads it aloud from a mobile app, the ruling is the same, because the restriction is on reciting, not only on touching the physical Mushaf.

However, just looking at the verses without reciting is allowed. And if she reads an ayah as a dua, or there is a strong need for teaching or learning, some scholars have allowed it. But it is safer to avoid regular recitation during menstruation.
