Can a Muslim Move to a Non-Muslim Country for Work?
Question
Assalamu alaikum..i m getting job offers from abroad..my family wants me to shift to a western country permanantly..and work there as a doctor..is it wise to leave a muslim country and shift to a non muslim one for earthly benefits?what does islam say about this?
Islamic Ruling & Answer
VerifiedWalekumussalam,
Moving to a non-Muslim country for a job is not automatically haram. The main condition is protection of your faith. If you can freely pray, observe hijab, and practice Islam properly, then it is permissible.
But if there is a real fear that your faith may weaken or your religious practice will suffer, then it is not wise to move only for worldly benefits.
In Islam, Deen comes before dunya.
May Allah guide you to the best decision.
